The Skyzone Cobra X V4 video helmet offers the highest possible performance, comparable to expensive FPV goggles!

The Skyzone Cobra X features a built-in 4.1-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 and a variable aspect ratio of 4:3 or 16:9. The LCD screen displays a bright and colorful analog image, allowing the pilot to see more detail during flight. The design uses proprietary lenses rather than flannel lenses, eliminating the distortion and blur typical of flannel lenses.

The Skyzone Cobra X uses a state-of-the-art Skyzone SteadyView 5.8G 48-channel receiver module with RapidMix technology, which is also used in the more expensive Skyzone SKY04X OLED FPV video goggles. The receiver has two operating modes: Diversity and RapidMix. Diversity is the standard mode, in which the receiver selects the best signal from two antennas, reducing the risk of complete signal loss. In RapidMix mode, the receiver combines the signals from both antennas, resulting in a more stable and clear image in challenging flight conditions. The receiver has a USB Type-C interface for firmware updates.

The Skyzone Cobra X's default video receiver can be easily replaced with any other receiver, such as a TBS or ImmersionRC receiver.

The built-in digital video recorder (DVR) allows you to record your flight in a single file of up to 30 minutes on a Micro SD card up to 128GB (Class 10). Unlike the S version, the Cobra X uses the modern H264 encoding format for video recording. The H264 codec provides more efficient compression of video files, resulting in less loss of quality and smaller file sizes. If a sudden power loss occurs while recording video, the recorded file will be corrupted. However, the headset has a built-in function to restore the last corrupted file. Recording can be configured to start automatically when a video from the drone's FPV camera appears.

Two grooved metal scroll wheels located on the top panel of the headset allow you to easily navigate the extensive OSD settings menu. The OSD menu offers a wide range of settings and presets: settings for the video receiver, DVR, video playback, Head Tracker, as well as image quality adjustments such as brightness, saturation, sharpness, and more. There are presets for image enhancement: standard, bright, saturated, soft, custom, etc.

The built-in cooler not only prevents the display from fogging up but also dissipates heat from the headset's internal components. If the loud fan noise bothers you, you can adjust its speed in the settings menu.

The headset is powered by a single 18650 Li-ion battery (not included), which is easily charged via a USB Type-C interface. The goggles can also be powered by an external source, such as a 2-6S LiPo battery.

The Skyzone Cobra X is suitable for eyeglass wearers, but the frame height should not exceed 30 mm.

The video helmet comes with a soft faux leather face mask and additional spacers to reduce the light gap and nose bridge, which can be attached in various ways depending on your face shape.

The bottom of the Cobra S contains USB-C inputs, DC IN, AV input, HDMI port, Head Tracker port, and an SD card slot.

Video helmets are typically much larger and heavier than FPV video goggles, but the Skyzone Cobra The X is roughly the same size as the DJI FPV goggles!
